Information for Parents & Junior Cricketers Merlynston Hadfield Cricket Club fields 5 Junior sides in the NWCA. The teams are: Under 16 (1) (Saturday Morning)

Under 12 (Saturday Morning)
Under 10 (Friday Evening)
Milo Have-A-Go (Friday Evening) Eligibilty The critical "cut off date" for age qualification is the 1st of September each year; therefore to be eligible to play: Under 10's = The child must not have turned 10 years of age before the 1st of September.
Under 12's = Where the child has turned 10 before the 1st of September, they will be required to play in the Under 12's. Similary, as long as they have not turned 12 before September the 1st, they will still be eligible to play. Under 14's = Where the child has turned 12 before the 1st of September, they will be required to play in the Under 14's. Similary, as long as they have not turned 14 before September the 1st, they will still be eligible to play. Under 16's = Where the child has turned 14 before the 1st of September, they will be required to play in the Under 16's. Similary, as long as they have not turned 16 before September the 1st, then they also will be eligible to play. Matches Under 10 matches are played on a Friday evening beginning at 5.15pm. Under 10 matches are initially played on Sunday mornings (commencing at 8.30am), unti Daylight Savings commences, at which point the competition will switch to Friday nights, commencing at 5.15pm. Under 12's, U14's and U16's play on a Saturday morning with matches commencing at 8.20am. Venue All training and home games are played at Martin Reserve, Box Forest Rd, Glenroy. Our back up home ground for extra junior teams is Mutton Reserve, Creedon St, Fawkner. Registration Fees Junior Registration Fees for the season are set at $120 per player (Under 12's, 14's & 16's) and $80 per player (Under 10's) with a $10 discount for each and subsequent child. These subs cover all gameday match fees and a MHCC club cap. Club Uniform This season it will be compulsary for all players to wear their embroidered Club Polo shirt and an embroidered club cap at all matches. This will develop a sense of "team" amongst the players who will develop a strong camaraderie as they take the field looking as one.
